Jallu Ébénistes

Fine furniture + straw marquetry

Jallu Ébénistes are creators of collectible design, made in France. Les Jallu are devoted to creating museum quality furniture conjured from extraordinary materials including straw marquetry, gypse (selenite), parchment, mica, pyrite, and shagreen, as well as precious wood veneers and fine metalwork. Rooted in history and designed with an eye toward innovation, their collections are produced with unparalleled savoir-faire under Aesthetic Director Sandra Scolnik-Jallu and Master Ébéniste Yann Jallu.

Sandra Scolnik-Jallu draws inspiration from her career as a respected studio artist in New York, bringing a collaborative spirit and creative grit to the atelier. Her paintings are in the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and private collections.

Yann Jallu is a member of the Compagnons du Devoir. A master ébéniste whose technical skill is admired worldwide, Yann is committed to acting as a steward of the French decorative arts tradition.  He dedicates himself not only to the production of exceptional work, but also to ‘Patrimonie,’ ensuring the inheritance of skills unique to French ébénisterie.

Les Jallu collaborate with designers across the globe on bespoke commissions for private residences and superyachts. Their work can also be found in elite luxury retail applications for Houses such as Cartier, Dior and Chaumet.
